Long Thanh airport project moves ahead of schedule
According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), construction on Long Thanh International Airport in the southern province of Dong Nai is progressing more quickly than anticipated.

XIAMEN AIRLINES (MF) is officially opening direct route from XIAMEN to Ho Chi Minh City from 28 NOV16
This airline is a member of the SKYTEAMS and they will operate this route on daily basis, with Boeing 737-800, which allows maximum up to 169 passenger passengers per flight.
Boeing supports Vietnam’s goal of direct US flights
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) and Boeing has signed a Memorandum of Collaboration in support of Vietnam receiving category 1 approval by the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Cat Bi International Airport (Hai Phong City)
Cat Bi new international airport will be expected to begin operating in the fourth quarter of 2016, at this time it will have capacity to serve 4 million passenger a year with 1000 passenger at peak hours. The total fund for this project is approximately 70.3 million dollar (VND1.5 trillion).
Vinh Airport (IATA: VII, ICAO: VVVH) approved to international status
30th January 2015: Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a long-term plan to upgrade Vinh Airport in the central province of Nghe An to become an international airport.
Construction of the new airport in resort town of Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan province
19th January 2015: The construction of a civil and military airport in the growing resort town began on Sunday, 18 January 2015, marking for the first time the partnership of state and private investors in an airport project.

45-Day Visa Exemption (25 Countries)
Valid until March 2028 (Resolution 44 & 229). Requires: passport 6+ months valid, return ticket, at least 1 blank page. For stays 46–90 days, apply for e-visa.

Crew of scheduled commercial airlines with valid CMC on active duty enter visa-free under 3 scenarios:

Required Documents for Crew:
- ✓ Valid passport (6+ months validity)
- ✓ Valid CMC or airline-issued crew ID card
- ✓ Flight itinerary / trip sheet from airline
- ✓ Business introduction letter on airline letterhead
Bilateral Crew Exemptions (for charter/private crew from select countries):
USA (Delta), Qatar (Qatar Airways), Japan (JAL), Australia (Jetstar), France (Air France), South Korea (Asiana), Russia, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Poland, Luxembourg — crew from these countries may qualify for additional reciprocal visa exemptions.
CMC entry is for ACTIVE DUTY on scheduled commercial flights only. Charter/private crew must use e-visa. Cannot be used for personal holidays or after leaving airline employment. Crew on personal travel must apply for a standard e-visa (3–5 working days).
